sTARTUp Day 2021 is over and Code Gift had the pleasure of visiting it. It was held for the fifth time and as previously, it was eventful and very well organized. Around 3000 visitors and 150 speakers gathered to the city of good thoughts to share their ideas and listen to others.

Here are the three main takeaways from this event that stood out during those few days.

1. Opportunities to meet like-minded people

sTARTUp Day is a great place to meet people in your field and common interests to exchange ideas and expand your network. Entrepreneurs, CEOs, developers, designers, marketing people - many were represented, and it is the diversity of participants that is a big plus of this event.

It is useful to learn something from people from different fields to find inspiration and spark creativity. Many investors and CEOs share their paths and ideas that are worth listening to. It is probably best to learn from other people's mistakes / experiences, and that is one of the reasons to listen to these stories.

In addition, many companies and their representatives are actively looking for additions and opportunities for cooperation in their team, so it is worthwhile for those who are looking for new job challenges to take part in the event.

So regardless of your current professional status or field, sTARTUp Day is a festival that you can take part in if you have at least the slightest interest in the field of business and startup.

2. Talks and seminars with a practical approach

The event had a large number of practical presentations, the knowledge of which can be easily applied to further working life. For example, they talked about how to successfully collaborate during COVID, how to prototype an idea, and what are the bUXasics of UX and SEO for beginners.

For example, when creating a prototype, it is important to communicate with (potential) customers from the very beginning and ask for their feedback and opinion on your product / service. It is wise to launch faster and make conscious changes and improvements to the product you sell with the feedback you receive, because if you go too far in developing your original idea, a situation may arise where the product does not meet the customer's needs and they are not willing to pay for it.

There were also a number of presentations on how to organize remote work and to keep teamwork running. Online events, necessary breaks, written documentation were just a few examples of how to do this.

3. Lots of bright ideas

As expected, sTARTUp Day was full of exciting ideas and challenges. Ideas ranged from health technology to mechatronics, and it indicated that there were still many problems to be solved. But more importantly, solutions to these problems have already been found, and these solution providers had come to look for possible investments to develop their products and grow their team. Given the constant development of technology, it was not surprising that many ideas were also related to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.AI) ja masinõppega (machine learningFor example, the Lithuanian startup VSight, which won the pitch, is an Industrial Augmented Reality Platform enabling enterprises to make the workforce more connected.augmented reality, AR) abil.
